“ This was our first time at Shady Shack and my wife and I absolutely loved it! Great food, drinks music by Blue Sided! Amazing views of the lake and surrounding homes. Dennise was our server and she was very attentive and super nice while also making sure we had everything we needed at all tile despite the large crowd. We highly recommend to any and all who are in the area! We will be back! ”

Pull up by car or by boat and enjoy their open deck seating with fabulous sunset views over Poplar Creek. Their menu includes a nice variety of traditional American cuisine and seafood, with one of our favorite menu items being their fish tacos. Enjoy a fun summer drink and soak in the lake lifestyle! “ TEN STARS!!!! Sunny, the hostess welcomed us and loved on our dog! Ryan, the other hostess, brought our dog a bowl of cold water!:)) We were seated at an amazing table right by the water! Megan was our server; she has the sweetest smile ...kept the drinks flowing! Speaking of drinks- Hannah is a BEAST behind the bar!:)) Hayle brought our food with a smile! JT, the cook, even came out to see if we enjoyed our meal! Everything was perfect! Our dog enjoyed his side of turkey, I enjoyed my Shady Shrimp and tots, and my husband’s Murder Burger was devine! The manager, Ryan, is always friendly, making sure everyone has what they need! ”

“ My brother lives by the lake, so we drove from Wilson, North Carolina, to the lake house without stopping for food. By the time we arrived, it was getting late, and we hadn't planned on having dinner at the house. We put the boat in the water and headed over to the marina, where we discovered they must have had a busy day. It seemed to be prom night because they had sold out of all the chicken wings and pizza. However, they had plenty of other options on the menu that they could prepare for us. I believe we all decided on bacon cheeseburgers, which were delicious. I ordered an old-fashioned, and while it was great, it didn’t come with the right cherry. Despite that, it turned out to be a wonderful day. We enjoyed a nice boat ride in the dark, and overall, it was a fantastic experience—10 out of 10! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a bite to eat and a drink by the lake. The staff was very friendly, the hostess was awesome, the bathrooms were very clean, and it was conveniently located near the boat store and gas station. Overall, it truly deserves a 10 out of 10! I feel bad that I didn’t get a picture of the drink or the food! ”

“ What a day. Perfect weather never hurts. Had the Cuban sandwich, definitely worthy of a repeat. Claudia took great care of me at the bar. Tunes were good, not too loud. Everybody wanted to know if I was pleased with the service. They don't really need more good reviews but they've really just gotten better every year. ”
